Barbecue masterclass: vegetarian
Join us in the great outdoors to learn how to make vegetables the star of the show on your barbecue in our stunning kitchen garden at Lainston House.
After enjoying a welcome cuppa and pastry with your fellow classmates, your day will be filled with selecting seasonal veggies and herbs from our kitchen garden, discovering top tips on preparing and lighting your barbecue, and learning how to master barbecue techniques, like dirty cooking, to create standout vegetarian dishes using you’ll want to eat again and again.
For both veggies and non-veggies, this class is great to give you the knowledge and confidence to make vegetables a real show stopper; whether for a hero main course or equally as great for seriously tasty side dishes. Using around half of the ingredients from the kitchen garden and the best local produce, you can easily replicate making these dishes from your local growers, supermarkets or even your own garden veggies! Even better, all the dishes can be tweaked to cook on a griddle in your kitchen when the great British weather just isn’t playing ball, or you fancy a quick meat free Monday supper!
No need to be a cooking connoisseur here… the class is relaxed, fun, informative and interactive, suiting all abilities. Sharing a Weber barbecue between two (if you come on your own we will pair you with a classmate), we will work together through the preparation and cooking of each dish, then you can enjoy the fruits of your labour, whilst our cleaning wizards do their magic and hey presto - your cooking station ready for the next dish!
